I created this blog to store my code. Pieces and parts that either took me a while to figure out or I use regularly. I like it when I am trying to figure something out and I can find the code I want and copy and paste. So I am going to make this blog all about the code, simple descriptions and code snippets and nothing else.
I started out as a Control Engineer working for turnkey automation companies (PLC’s, robots, vision systems). From there I moved into process control where I helped automate the batch process of one of the words largest coffee companies. If you don’t know, most of the interfaces in the automation world are developed using canned software such as Wonderware, RSView or Iconics. These software packages are very limiting and so I started to develop small applications in Visual Studio to overcome these limitations. From there I started developing web apps that monitor, log and control plant floor activity.
I live in Johnston County, NC so that is how I came up with the site name. joco (Johnston County) + coder = jocoder
